Gary Gigot
Executive Chairman
Gigot represents Kidron Corporate Advisors, a New York City based full service investment banking boutique. Gigot's affiliation with Kidron began during his tenure with Frazier Technology Ventures, an early stage internet and software venture capital firm. Previously, Gigot was an investor and chief marketing officer of Visio Corporation, where he played a central role in positioning Visio as the leader in business drawing software. During Gigot’s Visio years, the market capitalization rose from $25 million to $1.3 billion, after which the company was sold to Microsoft. Gigot’s technology experience also includes four years serving as vice president of marketing at Microsoft, where he managed advertising, PR, research, channel, events and direct marketing disciplines for Microsoft.
Gigot is also a 16-year advertising veteran, principally with Ogilvy & Mather. He remains an active philanthropist, having founded the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Notre Dame and the United Way of King County's "Out of the Rain" initiative to end homelessness. Mr. Gigot sits on the Mendoza College of Business Advisory Council and on the Board of Managers of Northwest Horticulture and the Foster Promise advisory board. He also is Chief Marketing Officer of Optimum Energy.
Frith Maier
Chief Executive Officer
Frith delights in turning big, improbable ideas into realities. In 1988, she created the Russia & Central Asia travel program for Recreational Equipment, Inc. and managed it for nine years, acquiring the fundamental customer-centric business management skills to found her own company. She pioneered numerous climbing expeditions into remote mountain ranges where Westerners had never traveled. Since launching Sesame Communications in 1999, Frith has brought her explorer's drive to creating the premier online communications brand in dentistry, transforming practices through technology. She holds an MA in International Studies from the University of Washington.
Jon Engman
President
Jon joined Sesame in March of 2008 as Chief Operating Officer and was named President in June of 2009. Jon has a 20-year track record in executive leadership for companies making the transition from early stage businesses to market-leading enterprises. Prior to joining Sesame, Jon was CFO of Saflink, leading the company through a period of explosive growth in both market value and industry presence. He began his career with Arthur Andersen, and has held senior finance and operating positions with Captaris and a number of early to mid-size technology companies backed by leading venture firms.
Nikolay Sokratov
Vice President of Technology
As Vice President of Technology, Nikolay manages product development and IT services with a focus on innovation and optimizing the user experience. Nikolay has over 15 years of experience developing large-scale solutions for Microsoft, MediaNet Digital, and Loudeye, and served as CTO at J. River. Nikolay earned his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Born in the former USSR, he manages Sesame's dedicated team of software developers in Russia.
Jim Cross
Vice President of Administration
Jim's passion for customer service and employee development has helped build Sesame into a company with a reputation for legendary customer care. He honed his skills during twelve years as Mail Order Manager at Recreational Equipment, Inc., building REI's catalog division into an award-winning team of eighty product and customer service specialists. Subsequently, he managed THAW, the 250-person company that produced REI-label goods.
Rachel Mele
Vice President of Sales
Rachel combines her zeal for technology with a commitment to helping every practice be successful with online solutions. She has been an important part of Sesame's success since 2005. Prior to that, Rachel was a consultant to orthodontic practices across the United States, Australia and New Zealand. She graduated from the Hartt School with a degree in Music Business.
